Day One 8:30a - 4:30p and Day Two 8:30a - 2:00p

Public Housing and CFP

  • Budgeting for the Public Housing program
  • GAAP accounting and HUD accounting requirements for the Public Housing program and CFP
  • Monthly internal reporting for the Executive Director / CEO and the Board
  • Year-end Financial Data Schedule (FDS) for Public Housing
  • Public Housing Assessment System (PHAS) Financial (FASS) and Management Operations (MASS)

Day Two 2:00p - 4:30p

Public Housing Repositioning / Section 18 and RAD

  • Overview of Public Housing Repositioning Options
  • Pros and Cons of various repositioning strategies including Section 18, RAD and other strategies
  • Brief overview of finance and accounting issues for RAD vs Section 18
  • Brief overview of conversion entries

Day Three 9:00a - 4:30p

Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCV)

  • Budgeting for the HCV program / HCV funding for HAP and Admin Fee
  • HAP Funds / Restricted Net Position, and Admin Funds Unrestricted Net Position
  • GAAP accounting and HUD accounting requirements for the HCV program
  • Monthly internal reporting for the Executive Director / CEO and the Board
  • Voucher Management System (VMS) reporting for various Section 8 programs
  • Year-end Financial Data Schedule (FDS) for HCV


Limited to 25 attendees.


REGISTRATION CANCELATION & REFUND POLICY:

Registration cancellation must be submitted in writing by October 4 and forwarded to Carmen Jack via e-mail to Carmen_Jack@tempe.gov in order to receive a refund less a $75 cancellation fee. No refunds will be granted after October 4 and AZ NAHRO does not issue credit toward future events. No telephone cancellations will be honored. No refunds will be granted for no-shows.
